For the past month, I have been teaching photogrpahy classes up at Youth Encouragement Services (an inner city after school program that I worked at last year). I have four girls in the class, Keshawn, Jordan, Tyler, and Jatisha. The first week I asked them to bring one of their fave. items so that they could take photos of it. We ended up going to the pedesterian bridge and I just let them run wild. They amaze me by the way that they see the world around them. They find some of the most ordinary things hilarious and some of the most obscure things mundane. The camera is such a powerful tool because it allows the photographer to relate what they see in the world to other people. Here is some of their work that I have enhanced on photoshop.
